"KID & KILLER"


At the moment Hannu Salonen is preparing the international cinema feature „KID & KILLER“. The shooting of the film begins on the 4th of March 2008 in Estonia and Finland. The leading roles are played by Mart Müürisepp (Estonia) and Mehmet Kurtulus (Germany, Turkey). The shooting days amount up to 35. The film is going to be shot on 35mm / color, the frame ratio being 1:1:85. The screenplay has been written by Hannu Salonen, Mart Kivastik and Katrin Laur. The Director of Photography is Rein Kotov and the Production Design is conceived by Jaagup Roomet. The film is a co-production between Estonia (Piret Tibbo-Hudgins, Allfilm), Germany (Philipp Homberg Filmproduktion) and Finland (Jarkko Hentula, Juonifilmi). The financial partners are the Estonian Film Foundation, Estonian Cultural Endowment, Finnish Television YLE, Finnish Film Foundation, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Film Foundation Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein and the german broadcaster ARD / Degeto.

"TOM, an easygoing young boy without a proper education or a job ends up in a hospital with a Chechen man ARTUR, after accidentally having saved his life in a car bomb explosion. Artur is a mysterious man with a tragic background. Tom attaches quickly to Artur, helping him to escape from the hospital.

A kind of friendship evolves between the both, Artur trying to keep Tom away from „his personal war“. Some one betrayed Artur to the Russians who then killed his family in a cleansing operation during the Chechen war. The traitor turns out to be Artur’s "Vasha", a „brother“ named KERIM, who Artur grew up with in the same village.

Now Tom is thrown into dramatic events that abruptly open his eyes. Witnessing the murder of Kerim Tom runs away in terror, discovering that the third man of the group, GLOOBUS, deliberately led Artur to kill an innocent man. The chain of death and vengeance seems instoppable – but will Tom become a further piece in that chain? "

Commissario Laurenti "Tod auf der Warteliste" und "Der Tod wirft lange Schatten"

Die beiden Commissario Laurenti-Filme beruhen auf der Romanreihe von dem in Italien lebenden Autor Veit Heinichen. Neben Henry Hübchen als Proteo Laurenti glänzen in weiteren Rollen u.A. Barbara Rudnik, Rolf Hoppe, Hanns Zischler, Katharina Thalbach, Robert Gallinowski, Florian Panzner, Sergej Moya, Catherine Flemming, Ludwig Trepte, Horst Krause, Stefan Kurt, Lasha Bakradze, Barbara Philipp und Louise Berndt. Die Filme wurden von Trebitsch Entertainment (Produzentin: Katharina M. Trebitsch) für die Degeto produziert. Die Sendetermine sind 20. Dezember 2007 und am 10. Januar 2008 jeweils um 20.15 auf der ARD.
